About

cousinsr is a small editorial index of hotels. It covers four categories only: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. That narrow frame is on purpose. A short list, read closely, is more useful than a long one skimmed.

How it is laid out

The site borrows the look of a table of tiles. Each category is a numbered square, and each hotel inside it is a numbered square too. The numbers simply run in order through the site so you can find your place. They are not rankings and they say nothing about quality.

How entries are written

Each hotel is described in plain prose. We focus on what the building is like, where it stands and why it belongs in its category. Casino hotels are written up as hotels first, with the gaming floor treated as one part of the property.

We do not publish prices, scores or reviews, and we do not take bookings. Details such as opening seasons, room types and facilities can change, so please confirm anything important directly with the hotel.

Independence

No hotel pays to appear here, and none has approved its entry. If you represent a listed property and spot an error, the contact page explains how to tell us.
